This is a very comprehensive tour aimed at sharing all our favourite places with you, most of which you will not find on any other general tour list, all of which we have discovered and come to love over our 20+ years of running tours, living and working in Umbria.
Having a fixed “home-base” also means you can feel relaxed and settled while still having great and varied experiences.
As well as discovering the endlessly fascinating ancient city of Orvieto, where you will start to live and feel like a local, there are a number of day tours within the region where we will discover the fabulous and enigmatic Etruscans, wander through a Renaissance garden, view both modern and Renaissance style ceramics, meet local artisans and a couple of very special maiolica master artists, as well as savouring produce from prestigious wineries and oil producers, take part in great cooking classes and even enjoy a morning truffle hunt in the woods, followed by brunch with, of course, truffles . . .
While the tour begins and ends in Orvieto, we can also arrange a private transfer for you on arrival into Rome airport or a Rome hotel, also on departure at the end of the tour. In any case, we will be happy to assist in getting you to Orvieto, by train or other means if you need it.
